The Hideaway

The HideawayAllow yourself to indulge and relax in one of the most desirable beachfront locations in the world as you unwind from the busy life you are taking a vacation from.

Tell everyone back home that cell phone reception is poor as we encourage you to turn your phone off the second you walk through the door, and walk straight out onto your private patio and embrace the reality that you are one of the few people in the world sitting in front of the sparkling Pacific Ocean.

This tastefully designed 2 bedroom, 2 bath hideaway is equipped with every luxury and convenience. We have made sure that no necessity has been overlooked in order to ensure you will have everything you need. The luxury of being steps of away from expansive white sand beaches, world-class restaurants, shops and galleries are only part of what awaits you at The La Jolla Shores Hideaway. As La Jolla was one of the first established neighborhoods in San Diego you can only imagine how rich it is with culture, activities and picturesque views around every corner.

KellogParkYou will find yourself losing track of time at The Hideaway. There are only a few things you will need to consider daily at The Hideaway… whether to picnic at Kellogg Park… try one of the wonderful restaurants just a short walk away…whether to watch the surfers from your patio or from the white sand below…whether to kayak, ride a bike, or simply read a book and relax. Feel free to spend the entire day in the confines of your own beach hideaway and enjoy the views from sunrise to sunset and rest in peace and quiet.

Beyond the fact that La Jolla is often thought of as the Beverly Hills of San Diego, it is a wonderful vacation spot for families, couples and friends. The adventurous will find plenty to excite them down in The Shores where dive gear, kayak tours and surfing lessons are available from the shops on Avenida De La Playa, and at the Torrey Pines Gliderport (858-452-9858) where you can fly tandem (with a professional pilot) or solo (with the appropriate credentials). Golf enthusiasts can enjoy a round at Torrey Pines (619-570-1234) or watch their favorite pros in action during the annual PGA stop in February, while tennis players will like the competitive scene at the La Jolla Recreation Center on Draper Street (858-454-4434).

If you decide to venture out of The Shores there are a number of places to visit. With the world famous San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Wild Animal Park, Legoland, Balboa Park, Scripps Aquarium, and beautiful Carlsbad Flower Fields nearby your options are endless. You might decide to take a day trip down to Mexico as it is only 60 minutes to the south or stay a bit closer to your new ‘home’ and explore Coronado Island and dine at the renowned Hotel Del. For those looking for the nightlife scene we recommend heading to Jack’s or Jose’s in downtown La Jolla or to Pacific Beach or downtown San Diego as this beach town is typically asleep by midnight resting up for another long day at the beach ahead.
